Welcome to an introduction to casting molds with water based Resin Plaster. This is not plaster of Paris !!! It is a quick set with short demold time, scratch resistance, durable, very smooth resin powder.
In this class you will be given a 1kg bag of resin powder to use with our vast selection of silicone molds, including candle containers, trinket boxes, mini planters, houses, small trays, dishes, and decorative appliques that you can add to other projects. you will be able to make 2 or more projects with your powder, this will depend on the size of the molds you choose.
Apart from making your chosen projects you will learn tips on preparing molds, calculating the right amount for your mold so there is no waste, how to colour your plaster with liquid or powder colourant, cleaning up and disposing of any waste.
Resin powder casting is a relatively clean craft that can easily be done at home without a lot of mess. It can be coloured, sealed, painted, decoupaged and have transfers applied so is ideal for casting many decor items in molds.
