​Macrame Air Plant Decor
April 26th 7-9pm $45 including the air plant.
Make a delightful 18cm bamboo hoop and macrame air plant hanger. No macrame experience is necessary to create this gem. Make one for yourself or to give as a thoughtful gift in this 2 hour class. 2 different macrame knots make up this wall hanging that includes a pouch for the air plant. All materials including air plant included.
Wednesday 26th April 7-9pm or Wednesday 26th April 11am-1pm.

​Mixed Media from Scratch Series
Mixed Media Art from scratch 8 week course.
What is Mixed Media from scratch, it is my way of showing that art can be whatever you want it to be, that you can create art without being able to paint or draw and that it doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be fun.
Although there a few basic commercial art supply needs, it doesn’t have to be expensive to start. We will be making some of our own art supplies and tools, we will learn to identify basic things that we already have on hand that can be turned into supplies and tools for our mixed media journey.
With mixed media from scratch there is no right and wrong way, this is why it is a great way to start or expand on your art journey with no inhibitions or judgement.
With a handful of techniques, 1 on 1 guidance and lots of fun and laughter you will soon gain the confidence to accept that your art is in fact art.
Join me in my studio on Wednesday evenings and get started on your journey.

​Thursday 4th May 7-9 pm $40 all materials supplied.
Paint a Decorative plaster Heart and Decoupage a plain plaster heart as a complementing duo or perhaps one for you and one for Mum on Mother's Day.

Introducing my ENCAUSTIC ENLIGHTENMENT course.
(Encaustic art is painting with a hot wax medium)
 
The Encaustic enlightenment Series will be 8 evening sessions 7-9pm. The cost is $255 including all materials and will be starting in June. I am looking at a Tuesday or Thursday evening so I am asking for expressions of Interest and then will confirm which evening and dates.
Through this encaustic journey you will learn:
Safety and tools, preparing substrates, making your own encaustic medium and paint, fusing, mark making, collage, accretion, using stencils with encaustic, incising, embedding objects, shellac burn, gold leaf and photo transfer on encaustic.
If you want to try a different art form, then Encaustic Art could be for you. Let me know if you are interested as soon as possible and I will confirm dates.
Encaustic art is a versatile and with a bit of imagination and experimentation can complement many different art forms.
